Design Spotlight: White Kitchen Cabinets
From traditional to modern, as the main color or a bright accent, white is a tremendously popular option for kitchens. While trend reports point to a new "it" color or wood species every year, few of us want to live in an "of the moment" kitchen; we want a cheerful, welcoming space that reflects our taste and style. For many of us, that means crisp, white cabinets.
Not sure about going all white? Mixing white with another color is a great way to create contrast and visual interest. Here, Canyon Creek's Burnished Ebony stain is used on the cabinet boxes, and black accents are scattered throughout. White cabinet doors and light-colored countertops keep the overall look bright.
Creme, a warmer take on white, works well with wood tones and neutral paint colors. A polished nickel finish on the hardware is softer than bright chrome, and complements the light fixture and stainless steel range.
If white is a little too bright for you, consider a soft beige, such as our Sand paint (right), or a pale gray like Icing. These muted colors are a great backdrop for a colorful backsplash or brightly patterned tableware. To truly make a space your own, consider a custom paint color matched to your favorite fabric, painting or home accessory. You can also take advantage of a program like Colors by Canyon Creek; simply choose your favorite hue from a fan deck with over 800 selections!
